Methods and Data Sources
Students were one of two types -- co-admit or transfer --based on their status in the 1st term enrolled at PSU.  Co-admit students were defined as those who applied to the co-admission program and fully transferred to PSU with >= 45 SCH.  Transfer students were defined as those who did not apply for the co-admission program,  transferred to PSU with >= 45 SCH, and whose most recent previous college was a community college.
Four cohorts of co-admit (N = 281) and transfer students (N = 4435)were identified from fall terms of the 1998, 1999, 2000, and the 2001 Portland State University Student Databases, and included in this study.  These four cohorts were combined in analyses and reports.
