National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) provides data to colleges and universities
to assess and improve undergraduate education, inform state accountability and accreditation efforts,
and facilitate national and sector benchmarking efforts. At Portland State, the NSSE is administered to a
random sample of first-year and senior students every other year in the Winter/Spring.
