What is the University Portfolio?

proto.index211.gif (72181 bytes)The University Portfolio invites you to learn more about Portland State University. By exploring our Portfolio, we hope you gain a deeper understanding of how PSU fulfills its urban mission, strives to meet its learning goals, engages in continuous assessment, encourages diversity on campus and in the curriculum, and makes use of technology. In this way the University Portfolio differs from the PSU Web site, which provides general information about university resources.

The use of electronic portfolios in education to showcase the work of students and teachers has grown in popularity in recent years. The idea of developing an institutional portfolio is a new invention. For more information on the development of institutional portfolios, please visit the PSU project site and the national project site.

What is PSU's mission? What is the Portfolio Project? What does it mean to be an urban university?
